Bangkok: The Ministry of Interior has announced a robust initiative to combat corruption within local government examinations, emphasizing that evaluations will be strictly based on truth.
According to Thai News Agency, Nirat Pongsitthaworn, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Acting Director-General of the Department of Local Administration, communicated the ministry's commitment to eliminating corruption in the examination process. Efforts are being intensified to ensure that candidates' scores will genuinely reflect their performance, without any alterations or unfair treatment.
Nirat highlighted the firm stance of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, who has made it clear that corruption in local government exams will not be tolerated. The policy dictates that anyone found guilty of corrupt practices will be held accountable, with no exceptions. The ministry aims to maintain fairness and justice by judging candidates based on conduct rather than individual identities, ensuring that those who pass the exams are appointed based on merit.
The Local Administration Commission, along with the Central Government and the Department of Local Administration, is tasked with implementing this policy transparently. The names of successful candidates will be announced according to their true scores, reflecting the ministry's dedication to restoring justice and integrity in the examination process.
