Bangkok: The Ministry of Transport is providing buses and boats to transport people to pay respects and offer water for the royal funeral. The Ministry of Transport is offering these services to facilitate participation in the bathing ceremony and to pay respects to the body of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Rail Transport, in collaboration with other transportation agencies, has organized a system to accommodate the public. This includes increasing the frequency of BTS Skytrain services and, in cooperation with the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA), providing free shuttle buses on six routes. The routes begin at Tha Phra Station, Sanam Chai Station, Victory Monument (Phaya Thai side), Bangkok Central Station, Southern Bus Terminal, and Theva Phirom Gate, all leading to Sanam Luang.
Additionally, the Marine Department is offering patrol boat services without charge. These boats will transport individuals from Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara Pier and Wat Rakhang Khositaram Woramahawihan Pier to Tha Chang Pier, ensuring that people can easily access the royal funeral activities.
