Phatthalung: A miraculous hot spring, over 100 years old, located in the middle of a stream at Ban Suan Mak in Phatthalung Province, continues to draw a steady flow of tourists due to its unique natural characteristics. This hot spring, known for its two distinct temperatures, offers visitors an extraordinary experience.
According to Thai News Agency, applause and loud noises from tourists often echo along the stream, prompting numerous bubbles to rise from the hot spring, creating a spectacular sight that adds to the allure of the "Baan Suan Mak Hot Spring" in Lam Sin Subdistrict, Si Nakhon District. Locals have long shared tales of this phenomenon, noting that the louder the sound, the more bubbles appear, enhancing the site's reputation as a natural wonder.
The hot spring's main attraction is its location alongside a stream of cold water from the Banthat mountain range, resulting in a convergence of two different temperatures in the same area. This convergence occurs amidst lush surroundings of forests and orchards, offering a serene and picturesque environment for visitors.
Ms. Jamnean Buasom, a local resident, shared that the hot spring has been integral to the community since her ancestors' time. Recalling her childhood, she mentioned how she and her friends would bathe in the hot spring before school each morning. Ms. Buasom also noted a long-held belief that regular bathing in the spring could alleviate ailments and skin problems, inviting tourists to experience the wonder of this unique hot spring that continues to retain its natural beauty.
