National Police Chief Honored at Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School Anniversary

Nakhon Nayok: The National Police Chief attended the 67th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School and received the Chakdao Honor Award, recognizing outstanding alumni of the institution. Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, participated in the event held at Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province. Gen. Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, along with alumni of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, joined the ceremony, which was also attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and representatives of the alumni to express their gratitude to former commanders and teachers.

According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony featured the presentation of the Chakdao Honor Award for 2025 to seven distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions to society, demonstrated integrity, and brought honor to the institution. Among the honorees were Admiral Chirapol Wongwit, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, recognized for his work in administrative administration and national security enhancement, and Pol. Gen. Roy Ingkhaipiroj, former Secretary-General of the National Security Council, who was also honored in the same category.

The award ceremony also recognized General Pana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, and Pol. Lt. Col. Wanpong Kotcharak, Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center, for their contributions to national security. Other honorees included Lt. Gen. Nat Sri-in, Deputy Commander of the 2nd Army Area, and Captain Phanupong Khumsin, Director of the Research and Development Division, Office of Naval Research and Development, for achievements in their respective fields.

The annual event aims to foster unity and camaraderie among all classes of Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School alumni, aligning with the institution’s mission to produce dedicated soldiers and police officers who serve as essential forces for the army and the Royal Thai Police.
