Buriram: "Nong Miew" shared her emotional experience of receiving her diploma from Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, tearfully expressing that the Princess was a role model who inspired her to study hard until she graduated and achieved success in her career. This memorable moment will remain with her forever.
According to Thai News Agency, Mew-Waraporn Soisen, a petite woman from Satuk District, Buriram Province, gained attention on social media for her touching experience at the Buriram Rajabhat University graduation ceremony in September 2022. Waraporn currently works at the Government Savings Bank, Satuk Branch.
Ms. Waraporn, with tears in her eyes, revealed that the memory of her graduation day is still vivid. As a scholarship recipient of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, she was determined to attend the graduation like any other graduate to show respect and cherish it as the highest honor of her life. What remains most vividly in her memory is the moment she received her diploma. Due to physical limitations, she was placed last in the ceremony, and Princess Bajrakitiyabha showed kindness by bending down to hand her the diploma, filling Ms. Waraporn with emotion.
Ms. Waraporn mentioned that she continues to believe that His Majesty's "hand of love" has truly reached her, recognizing the efforts of a small person who refused to give up. After graduating and starting work at the Government Savings Bank, she has closely followed news of His Majesty's illness, praying for his recovery. When unfavorable news broke last night, she hoped it wasn't true.
In a related heartwarming story, the Facebook page "Happiness Thailand" shared a picture of a young child in the arms of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. This event took place in the Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary, within a small village in Lai Wo Subdistrict, Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province. Despite the difficult journey to Lai Wo village, the villagers never felt distant from royal kindness. In 2019, Her Royal Highness visited Ban Kong Mong Tha School in Lai Wo village to offer encouragement to the teachers, students, and people in the area.
On that day, "Nong Kopter," a two-year-old boy, approached His Majesty with excitement, pointing at the royal helicopter. His Majesty, with a smile, asked if the boy wanted to ride in it, promising him a ride if he could count from 1 to 10. After successfully counting, His Majesty fulfilled his promise, taking "Little Helicopter" for a short flight over Lai Wo village. This moment was a realization of a small dream for the young boy.
Today, Kopter is a third-grade elementary student, with the royal-granted hat and photographs from that day still preserved at home. His mother recalls that every time she cleans the picture frame, it feels as if His Majesty is still present, encouraging her son to grow up to be a good person in society.
Although His Majesty has passed away, the story of the little boy and the royal helicopter will continue to be shared, not just to remember that day, but to emphasize the importance of listening to and sharing precious moments with others, which can have profound meaning in someone's life.
