Pattarasmi Clarifies Misleading Headline on Business Restrictions

Bangkok: Pattarasmi clarified that the headline regarding the lifting of restrictions on eight businesses was inaccurate, insisting she was not politically manipulated.

According to Thai News Agency, Pattarasmi explained that the headline in question did not fully convey the intended meaning. She emphasized that her actions were not politically influenced. Earlier this morning, she paid respects at the sacred sites within Government House as part of assuming her new role, before proceeding with her duties in government communication.

Reporters noted that Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongsalooykorn, serving as Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, visited the shrine of guardian and ancestral spirits at 7:56 AM to seek blessings for her new position.

Captain Patradarasmi disclosed her responsibility in overseeing public relations for ministries under the Pheu Thai Party's jurisdiction, focusing on the government's future communication strategies.

When questioned about her interaction with the Prime Minister following her interview on errors in the Cabinet's announcement related to the Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542, and the draft ministerial regulation exempting eight business groups from requiring foreign operation permits, Lieutenant Colonel Pattarasmi mentioned she had not yet spoken with him. She suggested that the errors might have originated from inaccuracies in content and headlines.

She assured that future communication efforts would be more precise to prevent public misunderstandings. She asked the public to carefully follow and read details, confirming that the incident was not a political sabotage. Discussions with the Pheu Thai Party indicated that senior members had no objections to the matter.
