Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) has released its data on political party donations for September 2025, revealing that the Pheu Thai Party (PTP) has topped the list with a substantial donation of 3 million baht from just two donors.
According to Thai News Agency, the data indicates that a total of 142 donors contributed 5,000 baht or more, benefiting 16 political parties with cumulative donations amounting to 13.86 million baht. The Pheu Thai Party received 1.5 million baht each from Mr. Ek Sirichaonichkarn, a businessman in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and Mr. Wikit Wannakajornkit, who shares a surname with a prominent business family.
The Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) received a noteworthy donation of 2 million baht from V Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., a private company with a registered capital of 10 million baht. This company is a contract partner for at least 15 government projects, totaling 16.44 million baht, in the fiscal year 2024-2025. It was also revealed that Mr. Wiwatchai Sittisak, a major shareholder of the company, holds shares in IT Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., which is involved in 172 government projects worth over 82 million baht from 2015 to 2025.
The People's Party (PPP) amassed donations totaling 1,049,800 baht from 50 sources, predominantly party members. Notable among these contributions is a donation of 203,000 baht from Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, a Bangkok MP. This prompted Mr. Pai Lik, a Kla Tham Party MP, to question the origins of these funds and signal his intent to initiate an investigation with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
Other political parties also received significant donations. The Bhumjaithai Party (BJT) collected 1,950,000 baht from 65 items, Ruam Thai Sang Chart received 500,000 baht, and the People party obtained 360,000 baht. Additionally, a new party received 150,000 baht, while the party is ready with 774,500 baht. The Kla Tham Party had a single donor, Mr. Prasit Naktue, contributing a total of 862,000 baht.
