Nong Kung Sri:A dramatic sequence of events unfolded when a pickup truck carrying a large quantity of methamphetamine collided with a van, resulting in a significant drug bust involving two separate gangs. The accident initially caused a traffic jam that inadvertently aided law enforcement in seizing an additional 3 million methamphetamine pills.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident began when a pickup truck carrying 80,000 methamphetamine pills lost control and crashed into a van. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Mr. Winai, 42, was severely injured and later died in the hospital. Police on the scene discovered 800 methamphetamine pills on his person and an additional 84,000 pills inside the vehicle. These drugs were seized, and an investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after this accident, a Border Patrol Police team that was pursuing another vehicle linked to a drug trafficking network arrived at the scene. The congestion caused by the crash prevented the suspects in the second vehicle from escaping. Officers arrested two individuals, Surasak from Kalasin Province and Sorachai from Khon Kaen Province, who were found with 15 sacks containing approximately 3 million methamphetamine pills.
The suspects and the seized drugs were taken to the Border Patrol Police Command Region 2 in Khon Kaen Province for further investigation aimed at dismantling the drug trafficking network.
Local residents speculated that supernatural forces might have played a role in this fortuitous chain of events, alongside law enforcement efforts, as the area has seen multiple large drug seizures in the past.
