Bangkok:Police have disclosed that Chairat, a suspect in a significant case, possesses an unusual background, prompting an expanded investigation to identify those who assisted in his escape.
According to Thai News Agency, Chairat was subjected to a six-hour interrogation by police but remained uncooperative. Authorities are now broadening their investigation to locate accomplices and individuals who facilitated his escape, following evidence suggesting involvement from others in the conspiracy and his evasion.
Investigators from the Cyber Crime Investigation Division 1 have confirmed spending extensive hours questioning Mr. Chairat, who is implicated in posting a fraudulent 7 million baht "tea money" slip on the "Godd Dam" Facebook page. Despite the lengthy interrogation, Chairat has yet to divulge any valuable information regarding the slip's origin.
The investigation team is intensifying efforts to expand the case, having uncovered critical information pointing to accomplices in the conspiracy and those aiding his escape. Prior to his apprehension, Chairat managed to evade arrest by frequently changing his address, staying at various hotels and rental rooms.
In parallel, investigators from Bang Khen Police Station and the Security Police Division 2 have collaborated with cyber police to compile case information for a court request to issue an arrest warrant on national security grounds. Should the court grant Chairat bail, authorities are prepared to enact the national security arrest warrant to detain him immediately.
Chairat's background reveals a longstanding interest in politics, tracing back to when he was just 14 years old.
