Poo Manthana Faces Court in Defamation Case Filed by Num Kanchai

Bangkok: "Poo Manthana" appeared in Criminal Court for a witness examination and testimony hearing after being sued for defamation on 22 counts by Num Kanchai. She insisted she would fight for justice. The court scheduled the first witness hearing for April 2027.

According to Thai News Agency, at 9:00 AM at the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road, Mr. Pornsak Vipasaphanon, known as "Lawyer Tui," the legal representative for "Num Kanchai," attended the court to examine evidence and take testimonies. The case centers on "Poo Manthana's" defamatory Facebook posts against Num Kanchai, which amount to 22 counts. This lawsuit is one among six filed by Num Kanchai.

Num Kanchai has appointed Mr. Pornsak, or Lawyer Tui, as his legal representative for the proceedings. After the court session, Lawyer Tui confirmed that the lawsuits were not meant to harass the other party. He disclosed that six lawsuits have been filed against P' Num, totaling 78 counts, with all evidence ready. P' Num instructed Lawyer Tui to proceed legally, and the court has set the first hearing for the plaintiff's witnesses for early April 2027.

On the other side, Poo Manthana claimed that she is being harassed and sued by all parties involved. She affirmed her determination to fight for justice, despite the challenges. She shared that dedicating her time to the legal battles has left her with no time for her family and work. She intends to continue her legal fight, mentioning that some cases involve her sharing a post from Beer The Voice for encouragement, which was used against her in the lawsuits. Poo plans to ask Beer to be a witness, although her sister has not yet read the message.
