Preparations for Udon Thani Horticultural Expo 2026 Near Completion

Udon Thani:Preparations for the "Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026" are rapidly advancing, with the government reporting a 96.31% completion rate as they gear up to welcome visitors.

According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongslueykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated that efforts are being intensified to ensure the event is ready for both Thai and international tourists ahead of its opening on November 1, 2026. Key focus areas include the venue, activities, facilities, safety, and environmental considerations.

By September 24, 2026, progress had reached 96.31% with significant advancements in building construction, utilities, and landscape architecture. Additionally, preparations for the commemorative exhibition, academic exhibitions, technology and innovation showcases, and international gardens are being fast-tracked.

The World Horticultural Exposition Organizing Office conducts weekly meetings with agencies and contractors to monitor and accelerate progress, particularly in transportation, utilities, and security, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.

Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi emphasized the importance of collaboration among all agencies to address on-site issues promptly, aiming to benefit the local economy, boost tourism, and highlight Thailand's global potential.

The Udon Thani International Horticultural Exposition 2026 will take place from November 1, 2026, to March 14, 2027, at Nong Dae Wetland, Kut Sa Subdistrict, Mueang Udon Thani District, Udon Thani Province, with the theme 'Diversity of Life: Connecting People, Water, and Plants for Sustainable Living.'
