Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul paid respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong at the Tai Hong Kong Shrine of the Po Teck Tung Foundation to welcome Chinese New Year 2026 and bring good fortune to those born in the Year of the Horse.
According to Thai News Agency, on February 21st, at the Tai Hong Kong Shrine, Po Teck Tung Foundation, Phlab Phla Chai, Bangkok, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Arsit Sampanrat and Director-General of the Department of Community Development, Siam Sirimongkol, paid respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong (Tai Hong Kong). They also made donations to support charitable causes in celebration of the Chinese New Year 2026. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Aran Totuad, General Manager of the Foundation, and Mr. Nattawat Konthong, Head of the Legal and Litigation Office.
For the 2026 Chinese New Year festival, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation has scheduled the event to take place from February 16-25, 2026. All disciples and devotees are invited to 'pay homage to Luang Pu Tai Hong' and seek blessings for the auspicious start of the new year. They are also encouraged to sign up for the auspicious chanting of the Chaimongkol Mantra (Pha Keng) to ward off misfortune, pray for family happiness, enhance luck, improve destiny, and ensure stability throughout the year. Furthermore, merit-making and blessings can be sought with the statue of the Year of the Horse, which has been consecrated by the Venerable Abbot Phra Ajarn Chin Khananat Chinphrot (Yenngi), the abbot of Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Leng Neiy Yi). The Year of the Horse corresponds to the birth year of Mr. Anutin.
