PTT Group Decides Against Fuel Price Increase Amid Middle East Turmoil

Bangkok: PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) has announced that it will not raise fuel prices despite the rising global crude oil and refined product prices caused by escalating unrest in the Middle East. PTT, alongside the Ministry of Energy, is actively monitoring the situation and discussing joint strategies to manage the impact on the public.

According to Thai News Agency, PTT, in coordination with PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR), emphasized their commitment to maintaining current fuel prices to mitigate the financial impact on consumers. The group reassures energy users that there is no need to panic or stockpile fuel, as oil reserves and domestic transportation systems are operating normally.

PTT is dedicated to ensuring energy stability and supporting the progress of both the people and the country. However, they acknowledge that the ongoing conflict could affect energy supply chains, particularly in transportation routes within the Middle East, potentially leading to higher crude oil costs due to restricted supply.

M.L. Piktong Thongyai, CEO of PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR), stated that OR is closely monitoring international tensions and their effect on global oil prices. During this period, OR will not increase retail fuel prices to alleviate consumer burdens and will continue working with relevant government agencies to ensure their actions align with national interests.

OR assures consumers that they are fully prepared and have sufficient fuel supply to meet demand through the PTT Station network nationwide.
