RAOT moves forward with group accident insurance coverage in 2023, reviewing welfare. Aiming for maximum benefit to rubber farmers as quickly as possible.
The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) explains the provision of accident insurance for rubber farmers. Which has been in operation continuously for more than 4 years. Most recently, the insurance policy for 2022 will end its coverage on 14 Sep. 2023 at 12:00 AM. RAOT has hastened the preparation of accident insurance. There are insurance companies submitting insurance policies that require RAOT to use a budget that will almost double from the original 406 million baht to 755 million baht. Therefore, in order to take into account the maximum benefits that rubber farmers will receive, RAOT will expedite the process. Welfare arrangements etc. carefully and clearly quickly
“RAOT confirms that it will not abandon rubber farmers and is rushing to create welfare to provide security to farmers and their heirs, protecting their lives and livelihoods. Rubber farmers will definitely receive the most value for money,” said Mr. Nakorn Takwiraphat, Governor of the Rubber Authority of Thailand. – Thai News Agency
