A group of teenagers in Nonthaburi were attacked by rivals who threw a firecracker at them, causing a spark and a loud explosion on Pibul Songkram Road. According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from around 1 AM captured a group of teenagers from Nonthaburi, riding six motorcycles and totaling over 10 people, chasing and throwing firecrackers and Molotov cocktails at rival siblings. The explosions and sparks ignited the attackers on Pibul Songkram Road near the Rama V Bridge intersection. The attackers then swarmed the victims, who fled for help into a convenience store but were even attacked again.
Police from Muang Nonthaburi Police Station investigated the incident and found evidence of a charred explosion on the road, with shattered glass and plastic fragments scattered everywhere. The injured person, 24-year-old Pongsakorn, was covered in blood with severe cuts to the right side of his neck and left shoulder. Emergency medical personnel provided first aid before transporting him to Phra Nangklao Hospital. The injured person's condition is now out of danger. Investigators are preparing to go to the hospital to question them further and are urgently reviewing CCTV footage to apprehend this group of young men from Nonthaburi and bring them to justice.
