Royal Thai Navy Hosts 12th Group of Myanmar Farmers for Development Training

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Navy's Naval Research and Development Command recently hosted the 12th group of Myanmar farmers as part of an initiative aimed at fostering sustainable development and enhancing bilateral relations. The program introduced participants to the "Royal Philosophy," focusing on self-reliance and sustainable growth.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Project Development Office, Development Command (RPDO, DCC) continues to spearhead international cooperation efforts by launching this latest training program under the Royal Project initiatives. The program, designed for farmers and Ministry of Agriculture officials from Myanmar, aims to apply "Royal Wisdom" and the Sufficiency Economy philosophy to improve agricultural practices and self-reliance.

The training was inaugurated by Major General Win Vichitvadakarn, Director of the RPDO, with 14 participants from Myanmar in attendance. The session was conducted from February 17-25, 2026. The objective of this initiative is to impart knowledge on the principles of royal-initiated projects and their implementation in agriculture, enabling participants to enhance Myanmar's agricultural sector while applying these teachings in their daily lives. This training also aims to bolster cooperation and good relations between Thailand and Myanmar.

Subsequently, at 2:00 PM, Major General Win escorted the participants to meet General Sarawut Chanphum, Commander of the Royal Thai Army Development Command (RTADC), at the Phu Luang Reception Room in the RTADC headquarters. The Commander welcomed the delegation and emphasized the potential impact of the knowledge gained from royal development projects. He highlighted that this initiative could serve as a vital tool for empowering Myanmar farmers and strengthening ties between the Thai army and the people of Myanmar.
