Yunnan: Prime Minister Sihasak held bilateral discussions with the Chinese Foreign Minister prior to the trilateral summit between China, Thailand, and Cambodia, following a 72-hour ceasefire agreement.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 28, 2025, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, arrived in Yunnan Province at the invitation of Mr. Wang Yi, member of the Politburo, Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, for bilateral discussions and to participate in a trilateral meeting between Thailand, Cambodia, and China regarding the latest developments on the Thai-Cambodian border following the ceasefire agreement.
In preparation for the meeting, on December 28-29, 2025, the Minister held a preparatory meeting with the Thai delegation, which included representatives from the Ministry of Defence.
Later in the evening of December 28, Mr. Sihasak held bilateral discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ahead of the trilateral meeting between China, Thailand, and Cambodia, following the 72-hour ceasefire agreement.
