Bangkok: SIRIVANNAVARI and ICONCRAFT have unveiled the Thai fabric bag collection "S'CRAFT: Craftsmanship 2025," showcasing the beauty of woven fabrics from four regions. This collection reflects the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya and incorporates intricate embroidery under the concept of "Royal Weave."
According to Thai News Agency, the collection is a testament to the sustainable conservation efforts led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who is the designer behind the SIRIVANNAVARI brand. The initiative follows the footsteps of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, focusing on developing fabrics and handicrafts rooted in Thai wisdom. Collaborating with ICONCRAFT, a hub for Thai artisans, the collection showcases a fusion of traditional and contemporary design.
The Thai textile bag collection made its debut at the event 'S'CRAFT THAI TEXTILE TREASURES: FOUR REGIONS, TIMELESS LEGACY CRAFTSMANSHIP 2025,' held on August 1, 2025, at Suralai Hall, ICONSIAM. The event featured a fashion show and an exhibition that highlighted the origins and design processes of the creations. A live demonstration of embroidery by craftsmen from SIRIVANNAVARI Atelier and Academy offered attendees a closer look at the intricate craftsmanship.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya's designs for the collection include Thai silk bags themed 'Royal Weave,' which integrate fabrics from Thailand's four regions with sophisticated embroidery. Each bag is a blend of regional techniques and patterns, creating contemporary pieces that maintain their cultural identity. The embroidery from SIRIVANNAVARI Atelier and Academy incorporates regional symbols, reflecting a modern approach while preserving Thai traditions.
A standout feature of the event was the 'Luxe de Siam Exclusive Edit Clutch,' adorned with a dancing peacock, crafted on silk by renowned artists Ajarn Meechai Taesuchariya and Ajarn Weeratham Trakulngenthai. The collection consists of various bag styles, each representing the cultural essence of Thailand's regions with unique fabrics and embroidery.
The collection includes 88 bags, such as the 'S'Signature Pouch,' 'Busabong Bag,' 'Bupa Wristlet,' 'Busaba Clutch,' and 'Ratchapruek Bag.' Each bag, bearing the SIRIVANNAVARI brand logo and peacock symbol, is available for purchase from August 1, 2025, at ICONCRAFT, ICONSIAM.
An exhibition featuring the collection of 88 bags is also being held, showcasing the blend of Thai wisdom with modern design. The exhibition, running from August 1-31, 2025, at ICONCRAFT Globe, ICONSIAM, highlights the exquisite embroidery techniques and patterns that underscore the artistic prowess of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
