Bangkok: An invitation has been extended to visit the Spiritual Life Exhibition at Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan, scheduled from 12 to 22 February 2025. Organized by the Knowing Buddha Foundation for the Protection of Buddhism, the event benefits from the support of Phra Phromwacharamethi (Somkiat Kowito P.D.9), the abbot of Wat Arun.

According to Thai News Agency, the exhibition is divided into three distinct sections. Visitors will encounter an exhibition room and outdoor boards, a video room, and a pavilion featuring a replica of the ‘Phra Phuttha Thammasorn Ratcha Lokthat Dilok’ Buddha image. This structure allows tourists to explore the cultural practices of paying homage to Buddha images among Thai Buddhists.

The exhibition aims to educate attendees on the proper handling and significance of Buddha images and names, addressing the contemporary issue of these symbols being relegated to mere decorative items. By doing so, it seeks to restore and highlight the profound value of Buddhist art, which serves as a vessel for gratitude and respect towards the Buddha.

In addition to the visual displays, the exhibition offers insights into Buddhist teachings, covering topics such as the identity of the Buddha, the essence of enlightenment, and the miracles of the middle path. The information is accessible in Thai, English, and Chinese. The video room further enriches the experience by showcasing the significance of the soul, basic meditation techniques, and a short film emphasizing the correct approach to Buddhist symbols.

Since its inception in 2013, the Spiritual Life Exhibition has been a fixture during significant Buddhist holidays. It has consistently attracted considerable interest from international visitors, marking this as the 13th edition of the event.
