Bangkok: The Teachers Council of Thailand is set to honor five educators from Thepsirin Nonthaburi School with the prestigious "Teacher of Excellence Award" for their unwavering dedication and selfless protection of their students until their very last moments.
According to Thai News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Teachers Council of Thailand, Associate Professor Dr. Amolwan Veerathammo, announced the forthcoming awards to five distinguished teachers and staff members. The recipients demonstrated exemplary conduct and a dedicated spirit of teaching, faithfully caring for and safeguarding their students during a tragic incident at Thepsirin Nonthaburi School.
The five honorees are Mr. Kittipong Somrat, Deputy Director (Student Affairs Administration Group); Ms. Tiwaporn Wanich, Teacher (Guidance Counselor); Lieutenant (W) Nanchanatporn Nakplang, Teacher (Thai Language Teacher); Ms. Prapaporn Konsila, Contract Teacher (Mathematics Teacher); and Ms. Saiphon Sirikitjakajorn, Student Affairs Officer. Each of these individuals is celebrated for their courage, morality, ethics, and self-sacrifice in the line of duty.
Assistant Professor Dr. Amolwan emphasized that the award not only honors these individuals but also serves to highlight their virtues and sacrifices to society.
