Bangkok: Open for water pouring ceremony for the royal corpse until noon today. According to Thai News Agency, following the announcement by the Bureau of the Royal Household that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, this morning, beginning at 8:00 a.m., the Bureau of the Royal Household has arranged for the Thai people nationwide to bathe the royal corpse of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother in front of a portrait, out of gratitude and respectful acceptance of Her Majesty's passing. The long line of people stretched from in front of the Sahathai Samakhom Sala, all the way to Mani Noppharat Gate, and on to Sanam Luang. There were waiting tents and refreshment stations at intervals to cool off.
This morning, groups of people and representatives from various agencies continued to arrive. Foreigners residing in Thailand, along with their families, also arrived. They stated that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, has long performed royal duties for the nation and has earned the loyalty and respect of her subjects.
The Bureau of the Royal Household will allow the public to bathe the royal corpse of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, in front of a portrait until 12:00 noon today.
