Thanyaburi: Thanyaburi Court has granted bail to “Ta Oreo” and his group, setting it at 100,000 baht each. The defendants are involved in a case of joint assault with a weapon. The court has prohibited them from approaching the victim and scheduled them to report on 24 April.
According to Thai News Agency, the investigation officer of Khlong Luang Police Station presented Mr. Akkharawin, aged 19 years and 5 months, Mr. Witit Kamolwisit, aged 28 years and 2 months, and Mr. Penthai, aged 18 years and 7 months, to Thanyaburi Provincial Court. The three defendants were charged with jointly causing physical and mental harm, forcing others to act under threat, and possessing firearms without permission.
The petition outlines the incident, which occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. The accuser, who was at a dormitory with his girlfriend, received a call from Mr. Siwakorn, also known as Ice, through Instagram. Mr. Akkharawin, or Win, instructed the accuser to come downstairs. Upon arrival, the accuser encountered Mr. Penthai, or Prom, armed and searching the accuser. The accuser was then led to the side of the condo building where Mr. Kanchanok, the witness, and other perpetrators were present. The perpetrators brandished guns and forced the accuser to sit down before assaulting him with an iron rod, causing serious injuries.
The perpetrators fled in a car along Thanon Thanon Yothin, while the accuser and witnesses sought medical treatment and reported the incident. During the investigation, accused individuals denied all charges. The investigator opposed temporary release due to the severity of the case and the risk of flight. However, the court granted temporary release with bail conditions, imposing restrictions on approaching the victim. A reporting date was set for 24 April 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
