The elections have seen a significant increase in voter turnout, ranging from 423% to 632% compared to previous figures. Voter eligibility has been verified in accordance with legal standards, and official results are expected to be announced within 30 days.

According to Thai News Agency, the progress of the elections was announced at the Social Security Office by Ms. Jeerapa Boonrat, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, and Ms. Malakalan Horpratum, Inspector-General and Deputy Spokesperson. They reported that vote counting is complete at 4,408 out of 5,233 polling stations nationwide. The detailed recording system, which includes up to seven candidates per ballot, has contributed to the reporting time.

On the insured party side, 819,482 were eligible to vote, resulting in 796,494 valid ballots, 8,308 invalid ballots, and 14,680 abstentions, marking a 423% turnout increase. For employers, 10,737 were eligible, with 10,535 valid ballots, 81 invalid ballots, and 121 abstentions, reflecting a 632% increase.

Ms. Jeerapa noted that the sharp rise in voter turnout indicates heightened public awareness and engagement in managing the social security fund. She expects that all votes will be fully counted by today.

Once the counting is complete, the Provincial Social Security Office will submit the data to the Provincial Election Commission for verification, which will then be forwarded to the Central Election Commission. The qualifications of the top candidates will be verified, with results expected within 30 days, and the new board could start its duties by November.

Regarding concerns raised by Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, an MP from the People's Party, about candidate qualifications related to political affiliations, the deputy spokesperson clarified that all verifications will be conducted fairly under the Social Security Act. Ms. Jeerapa reassured that no investigations beyond legal requirements would be undertaken, but any issues can be reported through official channels.
