Manchester: Former England striker Wayne Rooney believes Michael Carrick possesses all the qualities to be the permanent manager of Manchester United, stating it would be a huge mistake to overlook him. Carrick took over from Ruben Amorim, who was sacked, and his contract expires at the end of the season. However, his masterful performances, leading Manchester United to four wins and one draw, have led to calls for the "Red Devils" board to offer him a permanent contract.
According to Thai News Agency, previously, Roy Keane and Gary Neville, two "Red Devils" legends, had opined that Carrick was not suitable to manage Manchester United permanently because he lacked the knowledge and experience to lead the team to a Premier League title. However, Rooney disagreed and insisted that Carrick has all the qualities to bring Manchester United back to greatness.
