Samut songkhram: Police arrested a woman driving a luxury car, carrying an illegal firearm and 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine hidden in the engine compartment, intending to deliver it to customers in Samut Songkhram. She confessed to being unemployed and working as a drug courier. Prior to this, she had just delivered 5 sacks of methamphetamine pills and 4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine to customers in Suphan Buri.
According to Thai News Agency, police from Samut Songkhram City Police Station, in collaboration with the provincial investigative unit, planned and executed the arrest of Ms. Chanittha, or "Nan," 29, from Suphan Buri, on Chaiyaphon Road, Mae Klong Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Songkhram District. Following a tip-off from an informant about a drug delivery scheduled in the area, officers staked out the location. Upon spotting a white luxury car with Chanthaburi license plates, they conducted a search. Inside the hood, they found 1 kilogram of methamphetamine hidden in the engine compartment on the driver's side. An unregistered 11mm semi-automatic pistol and 7 rounds of ammunition were also found in the back seat. A check of her mobile phone revealed chat messages related to drug sales, photos of the seized drugs, money transfer slips, and shared locations used to evade police checkpoints.
During questioning, the suspect claimed she had no other occupation and only worked as a drug courier. She stated that she had previously picked up five sacks of methamphetamine pills and four kilograms of crystal meth from Bueng Kan province to deliver to a customer in Suphan Buri province, leaving her with one kilogram of crystal meth as her share of the payment. Later, a customer named "Earth" contacted her to buy one kilogram of crystal meth for 100,000 baht, so she drove to deliver it but was arrested before she could do so. After being charged, she was handed over to investigators at the Samut Songkhram City Police Station for further legal proceedings, and efforts are underway to apprehend the related network.
