Authorities Bust Drug Smuggling Operation with 600,000 Methamphetamine Pills

Bangkok: Authorities intercepted 600,000 methamphetamine pills being transported from Saraburi to Bangkok. Police intercepted two suspects smuggling 600,000 methamphetamine pills from Saraburi into Bangkok for a drug network.

According to Thai News Agency, police from the Investigation Division of Metropolitan Police Division 1, in collaboration with other agencies, arrested two suspects at a construction site in Phanthai Norasingh Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province. They seized 600,000 methamphetamine pills and one vehicle.

The investigation revealed that the suspects were hired to transport the methamphetamine from Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province, to a network in Bangkok, but were intercepted and arrested before reaching their destination. They confessed to being hired to transport the drugs for a fee of 15,000 baht each.
