London: beabadoobee has announced that her new album, Pylon, will be released on September 18th. The album is available for pre-order and pre-registration now, ahead of its official release under Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.According to Thai News Agency, beabadoobee's standout fourth album serves as a follow-up to her UK number one hit This Is How Tomorrow Moves. The album is named after the towering overhead power poles that line major transportation routes worldwide, symbolizing her reflections on connections, isolation, and disconnection during her recent tours. The album's title also hints at her new, sharp, and powerful musical style, with distorted sound waves echoing throughout the 14 tracks. The album's first single, "Sun Has Set," is now available for streaming, presenting Pylon as a collection of songs that started as diary entries. The single's music video, directed by Jake Erland, underlines the personal and raw nature of the album. Laus, known for her passion for rock music, incorporates elements of classic grunge, Midwest emo, and 90s radio rock into Pylon, showcasing a rawer sound than her previous work.Notable collaborations on the album include Hayley Williams on "Nothing to Prove," a track about reclaiming strength, and Brendan Yates of Turnstile on the melancholic "Powerlines." Contributions from Evan Stephens Hall, Chino Moreno, and Shane Moran, along with production by Matty Healy and George Daniel, further enrich the album.Beabadoobee will debut songs from her album during her first arena tour, the Powerlines Tour, across North America, the UK, and Europe this fall and winter. The tour, starting on October 1st, will feature major venues such as Madison Square Garden and The Kia Forum, with Wisp and Violet Grohl as opening acts for different regions.
