Bangkok: The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior has indicated that "Na Ladprao Brewery" may be violating business regulations, prompting a nationwide inspection of restaurants.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, the Permanent Secretary, disclosed that if activities such as singing and serving alcoholic beverages occurred at the brewery, it might be reclassified as an entertainment venue, which could constitute an offense. He also mentioned that while the Bangkok Governor has discussed the possibility of widespread inspections in the city, the decision would ultimately rely on the Governor's directive to enforce stricter regulations on establishments operating as entertainment venues.
Inspections in Bangkok will be executed by the Metropolitan Police, whereas in other provinces, provincial governors will be responsible. Mr. Arsit also addressed concerns regarding restaurants exploiting legal loopholes to avoid classification as entertainment venues, asserting that such actions are illegal. He urged the necessity of thorough inspections and encouraged citizens to report any irregularities to authorities for legal action.
