Buddhasathan Foundation Postpones Meeting with Police Over Financial Documents

Lopburi: The Buddhasathan Foundation has indefinitely postponed its anticipated meeting with "Big Tao" to discuss the financial connections of Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu, citing unprepared documentation. According to Thai News Agency, the delay comes amid preparations by the committee members of the Lopburi Sri Suvarnabhumi Buddhist Foundation to meet with Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat Pankaew, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau. They were scheduled to discuss the foundation's financial affairs but requested to postpone the meeting. Col. Prachum Suksamran, Chairman of the Buddhasathan Foundation, announced that he was informed by his lawyer about the postponement due to difficulties in preparing the necessary documents. While a new date has not been set, he assured that once the documents are ready, he will coordinate with the Crime Suppression Division to promptly provide the required information. Col. Prachum expressed no concern over the delay, though the foundation's committee remains anxio us about the future steps following the arrest of former Phra Alongkot. The ongoing police investigation is reportedly examining a financial trail involving approximately 30 individuals, including close associates of the former Phra Alongkot and various foundation board members. Col. Prachum emphasized that the accounting department of the Buddhasathan Foundation is responsible for clarifying these financial matters, as he lacks detailed knowledge. Despite this, he maintains his innocence, asserting that no corruption occurred and expressing readiness for an investigation at every stage.
