Cambodian Troop Movement Sparks Urgent Meeting Between Thai Army Chief and Prime Minister

Bangkok: The Army Chief met with the Prime Minister after Cambodian troops brought tanks and weapons close to the Thai border. The Army Chief went to Khu Fah Building to meet with Prime Minister Anutin, presumably to report on the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to Thai News Agency, General Phana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, along with Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defence, arrived at Government House to meet with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul at Khu Fah Building. It is believed they were reporting on the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. Reporters attempted to question General Phana about the alleged deployment of 200 tanks and RPGs near the Thai border, but he did not answer before leaving immediately in his vehicle.
