Bangkok: The Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital Organ Donation Center recently held a merit-making ceremony to commemorate its 11th anniversary and honor individuals who have died from organ donation. The event was attended by Ms. Kanthamalee Thamvimut, Deputy Director of Charoenkrungpracharak Hospital, Dr. Rawin Wongsthaphanalert, Specialist Physician and founder of the center, along with hospital staff.
According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony took place at Wat Pariwat, Rama III, and served as a tribute to those who have generously donated their organs. The Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital Organ Donation Center, which began operations in 2015, follows the guidelines of the Thai Red Cross Organ Donation Center. It functions as an in-hospital center for organ donation, an academic and teaching center, and a hub for lectures within Bangkok.
A dedicated committee oversees the center's operations, ensuring coordination and ongoing development. Located on the 11th floor of the 72nd Anniversary Queen Sirikit Building, the center has successfully facilitated the donation of 32 organs over its 11-year span.
