Bangkok: China has removed Ma Xingrui from the party and government agencies after finding him guilty of serious corruption. A statement from Chinese authorities released on Tuesday announced the dismissal of former senior official Ma Xingrui from the Communist Party of China (CPC).According to Thai News Agency, Ma was investigated by the Central Discipline Inspection Commission of the Party and the National Inspection Commission due to serious violations of party discipline and laws. The Politburo meeting of the Central Party Committee on June 30 reviewed and approved the investigation report.China's official Xinhua news agency reported that the investigation found Ma violated political discipline, organizational ethics, and integrity; helped family members purchase substandard housing; was involved in quid pro quo arrangements involving sex and money; and allowed family members to abuse his position for immense wealth. Furthermore, Ma profited from others' business dealings, project contracts, and promo tions, and personally or jointly with relatives and close associates received vast sums of money and valuables.Ma's actions violated party discipline, constituted a serious breach of responsibilities, and are suspected of bribery, a particularly serious offense with extremely negative consequences. The resolution to expel Ma from the party and government agencies, seize his illegally acquired assets, and revoke his eligibility to represent the party at the 20th National Congress are in line with party regulations and relevant laws.The criminal case against Ma has been transferred to the prosecutor's office for investigation and legal proceedings. As for the resolution to expel Ma from the party, that awaits confirmation from a future full meeting of the party's central committee.
