Bangkok: CHO Public Company Limited (CHO) is facing potential delisting from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) after being marked as NC (Non-Compliance) effective from July 20, 2026. The SET has taken this action following the company's continued financial difficulties, notably its negative shareholder equity position.
According to Thai News Agency, the SET has identified that CHO's shareholders' equity has remained below zero, compelling the exchange to potentially delist the company under its regulations. The company has been marked with NC and continues to carry the SP (Suspension) mark, which prevents the trading of its securities. This action follows CHO's failure to submit its 2025 annual financial statements and its 2026 first-quarter financial statements on time, resulting in the suspension of trading from March 4, 2026. Although the company eventually submitted its audited 2025 financial statements revealing significantly negative equity for previous years, the situation remains critical.
The SET has underscored that CHO's securities face potential delisting under its 2021 regulations concerning the delisting of listed securities. The exchange has outlined several actions to address this issue. CHO must disclose its corrective action plan to remedy its negative equity situation by August 20, 2026. This plan should include a timeframe, a proposed rehabilitation plan, or other alternatives, which need to be communicated to shareholders and investors.
Following CHO's disclosure of its operational plan, the SET has stated that it will not facilitate the trading of CHO securities, as trading was previously opened from June 4, 2026, to July 3, 2026. CHO is obligated to rectify its financial discrepancies within three years from the stipulated date, July 20, 2026. Failure to address these issues within the designated period could lead to the delisting of CHO's securities by the SET.
The SET advises shareholders and investors to scrutinize CHO's comprehensive financial statements and monitor the company's forthcoming operational strategies closely.
