Rabat:Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, stated that it is normal for major ministries like the Ministry of Transport to be targets of no-confidence debates and affirmed his readiness to explain every issue.
According to Thai News Agency, Pipat addressed the matter at the Department of Rural Roads after being one of the 18 individuals named by the opposition in a no-confidence debate under Section 151. He mentioned that as the minister responsible, he must be prepared for questioning, despite not knowing the exact issues that will be raised.
Parliament will decide whether to include the motion on the agenda. The Cabinet will later announce the time allocated for the opposition and government during the debate.
Pipat emphasized his readiness to answer the opposition's questions, stating he would clarify any factual points but may not respond to inquiries based on false information. He acknowledged that interpellation is a normal part of politics and underscored the importance of answering questions related to the effectiveness of taxpayer-funded salaries and meeting allowances.
