Fire Destroys Two Condo Units in King Kaew Area

Samut Prakan:A fire broke out in a six-story condominium in the King Kaew area of Samut Prakan province, damaging two units. Six fire trucks were dispatched to the scene, and no injuries were reported, although a cat was rescued from smoke inhalation.

According to Thai News Agency, the fire was reported late last night at a condominium on Soi King Kaew 14/1 in the Rachathewa Subdistrict, Bang Phli District. The Phra Nakhon radio center coordinated with firefighters from the Rachathewa Subdistrict Administrative Organization and other local teams, including volunteers and the Ruam Katanyu Foundation, to contain the blaze.

The fire, which occurred on the 5th floor of the building, required firefighters to drag hoses upstairs to extinguish the flames. Residents were evacuated to safety, and the fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes. Two units were damaged in the incident.

Mr. Noparat, the owner of the room where the fire started, reported that the electricity went out while he was having dinner with his girlfriend, leaving the air conditioner on in the bedroom. Upon checking, he discovered the fire had begun in the bedroom and was spreading quickly.

While no human injuries occurred, a cat was found unconscious from smoke inhalation. The owner took the cat to rescue workers who were able to revive it. Officials suspect an electrical short circuit might have caused the fire, but a detailed investigation will be conducted to confirm the cause.
