Bangkok:The government is encouraging citizens to confirm their eligibility for the "Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40" program by October 15th. Those who cannot use the "Paotang" app are advised that they can complete the process at Krung Thai Bank branches across the nation.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, reported that as of October 5, 2026, 25,481,215 people had joined the initiative, accounting for 83.0% of the total 30,709,378 eligible individuals. Furthermore, 940,544 shops had registered, representing 78.9% of the total eligible businesses.
The government is facilitating assistance at Krung Thai Bank branches for citizens who struggle with the "Paotang" app, ensuring they can install, register, and apply for the government’s electronic wallet (G-Wallet) without needing to complete the process by phone.
Citizens can register for the program through the "Paotang" app from October 1st to 15th, 2026. Businesses have until November 30th, 2026, to register via the "Thung Ngern" app, although new merchant registrations are currently not being accepted.
Participants will receive government subsidies covering 60% of costs, capped at 200 baht per person per day, and a maximum of 1,000 baht per person for the duration of the program. These subsidies are valid for purchasing food, beverages, and specified goods and services from participating stores from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and for food delivery services from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The government highlights the importance of confirming participation to avoid missing out on program benefits, especially for those unable to use the app, urging them to seek assistance at Krung Thai Bank branches.
