According to Thai News Agency, the warning indicates that Thailand will experience significant rainfall, particularly in the eastern and western southern regions, due to a monsoon trough passing over the northern and upper northeastern areas. Combined with a strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, these conditions may lead to flash floods and landslides. The public, especially those in vulnerable areas such as slopes near waterways and low-lying regions, is urged to stay alert to the potential dangers of accumulated rainfall.
Regarding sea conditions, the upper Andaman Sea is experiencing strong winds with waves reaching 2-3 meters, and exceeding 3 meters in thunderstorm areas. In the lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand, waves are around 2 meters high, exceeding this height in thunderstorm regions. The Meteorological Department advises sailors to exercise caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea are advised to remain ashore from July 1st to 3rd for safety. The public is encouraged to monitor announcements closely.
