Japan Stresses Inseparability of Indo-Pacific and European Security

Munich: Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi emphasized the inseparability of Indo-Pacific and European security at the Munich Security Conference in Germany. He affirmed the unwavering strength of the alliance between Japan and the United States, highlighting a shared commitment to addressing global security challenges.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Koizumi reiterated Japan's intention to accelerate the revision of its national security strategy under Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi this year. He stated unequivocally that any attempt to alter the status quo through force is unacceptable. Despite regional tensions, Japan remains open to dialogue with China, committing to maintaining communication channels irrespective of disagreements.

Mr. Koizumi made these remarks as world leaders and senior security officials convened in Munich for the annual conference, aimed at enhancing Western cooperation on global security issues.
