Thief Impaled by Metal Fence While Attempting Burglary in Nakhon Ratchasima

Nakhon ratchasima: Climbing into a house hoping to steal, a man found himself in a dire situation when he slipped and got his leg impaled by a metal fence. The incident left him hanging upside down and prompted the distressed homeowner to call for rescue services.

According to Thai News Agency, rescue workers rushed to assist the 50-60 year old man who was trapped on a sharp metal spike on a gate in front of a house in Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. His right calf was impaled, causing him to bleed heavily and rendering him unable to move. The rescue team requested cutting equipment from the Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality and an ambulance. It took over 30 minutes to cut the metal and free the man from his precarious position.

The homeowner, who did not recognize the man, suspected him to be a burglar attempting to break into the house. The attempt was thwarted when he was injured by the metal rod before gaining entry.

The injured man was initially taken to Maharaj Nakorn Ratchasima Hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the homeowner filed a report at the Nakhon Ratchasima City Police Station, requesting an investigation into the man's identity and his motive for climbing the fence, with the intent of pursuing legal action.
