MCOT to Open Land Lease Auction in Ratchada-Rama 9

Bangkok: MCOT Public Company Limited has announced the commencement of document sales for a project focused on leasing 50 rai of land located in the prime CBD area of Ratchada-Rama 9, beginning on July 10th.

According to Thai News Agency, the land, valued at 9 billion baht, is open for all forms of private sector investment. Dr. Yada Kasayapanan, Acting President and CEO of MCOT, revealed that following a successful Market Sounding meeting in the first quarter of 2026, which aimed to gather feedback from investors and real estate developers, the auction for the land lease documents will be available from July 10 to August 26, 2026. Dr. Kasayapanan expressed confidence in attracting significant interest from investors due to the land's strategic potential.

The Ratchada-Rama 9 area, spanning over 50 rai, is a prime business district with significant infrastructure advantages. It is strategically located near Ratchadaphisek Road, bordered by notable landmarks such as the Thailand Cultural Centre and the Ministry of Culture. The location is a key public transportation hub, featuring a joint station for two MRT lines: the Orange Line and the Blue Line, which enhances its accessibility and appeal for development.
