Moss Charged with Murder of Uncle Boon Yoo in Rubber Plantation Case

Trat: Four serious charges have been filed against "Moss" for the murder of "Uncle Boon Yoo," whose body was dumped in a rubber plantation in Khao Saming District, Trat Province. Police are opposing bail, while the suspect remains unrepentant, eating and sleeping soundly in his cell.

According to Thai News Agency, a shocking incident was captured on CCTV showing Mr. Moss assaulting Mr. Boonyoo. The altercation began when Mr. Moss repeatedly beat Mr. Boonyoo with a wooden stick, breaking his arms and legs. Afterward, Mr. Moss rode his motorcycle to get a three-wheeled vehicle (saleng), loaded Mr. Boonyoo into a blue water tank, and they both disappeared on the saleng.

While police officers and rescue volunteers fanned out to search, they found Mr. Boonyoo's body dumped in a villager's rubber plantation in Moo 9, Thung Nonthri Subdistrict, Khao Saming District. He was found naked, with a severe head wound on the left side, broken arms and legs, and multiple injuries to his body. It is believed he died at the scene before Mr. Moss stuffed him into a container, loaded him onto a motorized tricycle, and dumped him in the rubber plantation. The tricycle itself was subsequently dumped in the Takad Reservoir, Huai Raeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province. Mr. Moss has been taken into custody for questioning at Khao Saming Police Station.

Recently at Khao Saming Police Station, Mr. Moss's father, who had separated from his family and hadn't seen his son for almost 30 years, traveled to visit his son in the detention cell after hearing the news.

Observations revealed that Mr. Moss appeared normal, able to eat and rest. Furthermore, CCTV footage from inside the control room showed Mr. Moss shirtless and seemingly exercising inside the cell.

Meanwhile, investigators at Khao Saming Police Station opposed bail due to the seriousness of the crime and concerns that the suspect might interfere with evidence. They charged the suspect with drug use, intentional homicide, concealing or disposing of a corpse, and destroying evidence by dumping the motorcycle with a sidecar used in the crime in a reservoir.

Initially, investigators questioned the suspect once, but the suspect did not provide much information useful to the case. Police will conduct further questioning, gather evidence, and review forensic test results before bringing the suspect before the court for detention and legal proceedings.
