Open House for New Recruits at Military District 38: Event Celebrates Achievements and Family Ties

Bangkok: Military District 38 opened its doors to new recruits of the 1st batch, with families joining in to congratulate them and present awards to outstanding marksmen.

According to Thai News Agency, Major General Boonyarit Kasetwethin, Commander of the 38th Military District, Suriyapong Camp, Nan Province, presided over the opening ceremony of the "New Recruit Open House" event for the year 2026, first intake. Families of the new recruits participated in the tour of the unit and witnessed the successful completion of the new recruit training course. The event aimed to foster pride and strengthen the good relationship between commanders and the families of the new recruits.

The event included a fancy drill display and a rapid-fire shooting demonstration by new recruits, greatly impressing the participants. On this occasion, the Commander of the 38th Military District presented certificates and monetary awards to three new recruits who achieved "excellent" shooting results. He also welcomed the families of the new recruits and expressed concern for those preparing for leave to return to their hometowns, emphasizing the importance of avoiding accidents during travel and using the break time to review lessons, especially for those preparing for the Army Non-Commissioned Officer entrance exam.

In addition, vegetable seeds from the "Good Soldier of Nan" project were given to the families of new recruits to plant at home, ensuring the continuity of the food security project.
