Political Popularity Polls Show “Teng-Pachon” Ranking Number 1

Bangkok: NIDA Poll releases the results of its quarterly political popularity survey, showing that "Teng - People's Party" is the most supported by the public.

According to Thai News Agency, the NIDA Poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) released the results of its political popularity survey for the second quarter of 2026. This survey involved 2,500 respondents aged 18 and over from various demographics nationwide, aiming to gauge the political landscape.

The survey revealed that if elections were held today, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut of the People's Party would lead the race for Prime Minister with 26.08% support. Following him is Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul from the Bhumjaithai Party with 21.68%, and Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva of the Democrat Party with 11.80%. Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat of the Pheu Thai Party secured the fourth spot with 11.64%, while 10.24% of respondents have yet to find a suitable candidate for the position.

In the subsequent rankings, Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom of the Thai Bhakdi Party garnered 4.08% support, followed by Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan from the Thai Sang Thai Party with 2.72%. General Rangsi Kitiyanasap of the Economic Party received 2.56%, with Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves of the Seri Ruam Thai Party and Mr. Peerapan Salirathavipak from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party trailing closely. Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat of the Pheu Thai Party received 1.32% of the support, while a variety of other candidates collectively accounted for 3.68%.

Regarding party support, the People's Party emerged as the most favored, capturing 34.80% of the public's backing. The Bhumjaithai Party followed with 17.00%, and the Pheu Thai Party closely trailed with 16.84%. The Democrat Party was chosen by 12.68% of respondents, with 5.32% still undecided about their preferred political party.

The survey further placed the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party with 2.96%, the Thai Bhakdi Party with 2.76%, and the Economic Party with 2.04% support. The Thai Sang Thai Party and the Seri Ruam Thai Party secured 1.92% and 1.60% respectively, while 2.08% of respondents indicated a preference for other parties such as the Kla Tham Party and the Palang Pracharath Party.
