Prime Minister and Officials Address Flood Situation in Lat Krabang

Lat Krabang:The Prime Minister, along with senior government officials, visited the Keha Rom Klao community to assess the flood situation and provide support to residents affected by the flooding. During the visit, food, drinking water, and relief packages were distributed to ensure that residents received necessary supplies.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt and several cabinet members, visited the Lat Krabang District to monitor the situation and offer encouragement to those affected by the flood. The group included key figures such as Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defence, and Mr. Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, among others.

During the visit, Mr. Anutin traveled by boat to assess the situation at the Lat Krabang Community Housing School, which serves as a temporary shelter for approximately 70 residents. He emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive care, including meals, drinking water, and medicine, to those in need.

Mr. Anutin noted that while the water levels are gradually decreasing, the process is slow due to high water levels in surrounding areas. Efforts are underway to mobilize submersible pumps to expedite the drainage process once conditions allow.

Mr. Chatchart projected that general areas would see water levels recede in about 3-4 days, with some communities taking up to a week. However, improvements have already been observed in the Keha Rom Klao community.

General Pheepir and Mr. Worasit have instructed the Department of Local Administration to collaborate with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on waste management during the floods. Measures include using garbage collection boats. Furthermore, Minister of Public Health Phatthana Phromphat is planning to establish field hospitals to address flood-related health issues.
