Kyiv: The Russian military launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on Saturday, killing at least nine people and injuring 28 others, including four young children.
According to Thai News Agency, Russia has continuously escalated its attacks on the Ukrainian capital in recent months, while Ukraine faces a shortage of air defense systems capable of intercepting missiles. This incident marks the second major attack on Kyiv this week, occurring just two days after a Russian cruise missile landed in Poland during Thursday's large-scale offensive against Ukraine. That attack killed nine people, including six members of the same family, in a village near the city of Kryvyiyrik.
In Kyiv, there are reports of multiple fires across the city and power outages in some areas. The mayor of Kyiv stated that a residential building in the Shevchenkivsky district sustained partial damage, trapping residents inside as the first and second floors collapsed. Several warehouses also caught fire.
