The incident sparked outrage after the tourists were denied boarding, and images surfaced of Thai airport officials making racist gestures.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Siripong addressed the situation by acknowledging the inappropriate and violent behavior exhibited by the security personnel, which fell short of acceptable standards. He stated that the Airports of Thailand (AOT) is committed to taking the strongest possible action against those involved. Furthermore, Mr. Siripong extended his apologies to both the Thai citizens and the international tourists affected by the incident, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
