Six Members of Soup-Throwing Gang Arrested and Sent to Court for Detention

Pathum Thani: Six additional members of the notorious soup-throwing gang were apprehended by the Khlong Luang Police Station and are scheduled to be sent to Thanyaburi Court for detention this afternoon. This recent arrest brings the total number of individuals detained in connection with the gang, known as “Preem-Oshi,” to eight.

According to Thai News Agency, the arrests were made last night and included individuals charged with extortion and assault. The suspects are Mr. Rasipha (Pim) and Mr. Chakatphon (Oshi), both facing multiple charges of extortion and assault, as well as Mr. Noppakun, Mr. Dolthee (Paul), Ms. Surrogate, Ms. Kanyaphat (Pimgel), Ms. Waranya, and Mr. Phradon, who are charged with six cases of extortion.

The developments at Khlong Luang Police Station have drawn attention, with family members and friends visiting the suspects. “Preem’s” mother expressed her distress over her son’s involvement in the gang. She revealed her efforts to support her son’s education, believing that no parent t
eaches their children to partake in criminal activities. She was unaware of her son’s recent academic achievements until informed by the university and expressed regret for the victims affected by the gang’s actions.

A former friend of Preem visited the station, recounting their past experiences as classmates and expressing surprise at the recent news. Despite their distant relationship, the friend felt compelled to visit upon learning of the arrests.

The Khlong Luang Police Station plans to transfer all eight suspects to the Thanyaburi Provincial Court for further legal proceedings later this afternoon.
