Thai Army Asserts Enhanced Readiness Amidst Cambodian Activities

Bangkok: "Winthai" reveals that the army is more prepared than in the previous two rounds; Cambodia's movements will not affect them. A Thai army spokesperson stated that Thai troops are more prepared than in the previous two rounds, and that Cambodia's current movements do not yet pose a threat.

According to Thai News Agency, Major General Winthai Suvari, spokesman for the Royal Thai Army, revealed regarding the news of China's delivery of weapons and military equipment to Cambodia that the army has not yet addressed this issue or considered it a special case. However, intelligence gathering from neighboring countries is paying attention to this matter, not just from Cambodia.

Regarding the arms proliferation of neighboring countries, as reported in the news, there is nothing particularly worrisome at the moment. Major General Winthai said that regarding Chinese weapons, many countries are already customers of China, and Thailand is one of them, not just Cambodia. Therefore, the military does not view it as a cause for concern, but they are closely monitoring the situation.

The situation along the border remains normal. The Army Commander has ordered continued vigilance and preparedness. Frontline efforts are currently focused on improving security, developing patrol routes, and logistics support to enhance security effectiveness. Border clashes remain under the ceasefire agreement, with coordination teams working at the local level to resolve verbal disputes and ensure operations between both sides are under control.

Major General Winthai stated regarding Prime Minister Hun Sen's declaration of reclaiming territory from Thailand that Thailand is closely monitoring the situation. Overall, there is nothing to worry about, and Cambodia's actions have not yet posed a threat. Importantly, Thailand is highly prepared, with troops stationed along the border, giving it a significant advantage over the two previous clashes.
