Bangkok: "Thai Helps Thai Plus (60/40)" has seen remarkable success in its inaugural month, with more than 43.2 billion baht circulating and over 25 million people benefiting from the initiative, significantly supporting the grassroots economy across Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the "Thai Helps Thai Plus (60/40)" project has garnered positive feedback from both the public and businesses. As of June 30, 2026, total spending had reached 43,218.39 million baht, with 25,686,181 individuals having successfully utilized the program and transactions being conducted at over 1.03 million merchants. This demonstrates the initiative's effectiveness in boosting purchasing power, distributing funds to enterprises, and reinforcing the grassroots economy nationwide.
The project, which commenced on June 1, 2026, witnessed a strong start with spending of 2,039.74 million baht on its first day. By the end of the month, spending had escalated to 43,218.39 million baht, highlighting the public's confidence in the initiative and their active role in invigorating the domestic economy.
On the business front, 1,073,146 shops have registered for the program, with 1,035,299 shops having completed transactions. This includes a wide range of businesses such as general stores, small retailers, community shops, and food delivery platforms, which joined the project from June 15, 2026. As a result, businesses have experienced increased revenue, enhanced liquidity, and greater trade opportunities.
The 'Thai Helps Thai Plus (60/40)' initiative is a crucial government measure designed to alleviate the cost of living for the public while simultaneously supporting small businesses, community shops, and local enterprises.
