According to Thai News Agency, the team, led by head coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriangrai and captain Natthanicha Jaisan, has been intensively training for the upcoming match in Hanoi, Vietnam. Key players such as Acharaaporn Kongyot, Sasipaporn Chantavisut, and Warunee Karum have been focusing on improving their movement, receiving, serving, and tactical skills. The training regimen, which lasted approximately 1.5 hours, also included a fitness session aimed at muscle strengthening.
The schedule for the Thai women's team includes a match against Indonesia today at 4:00 PM, followed by encounters with the Philippines on August 1st at 4:00 PM and Vietnam on August 2nd at 7:00 PM.
Meanwhile, the Thai national team, affectionately known as "The War Elephants," is also rigorously preparing for their second group stage match in Group B of the 2026 ASEAN Championship against Malaysia. Today's session at BGTC 3 stadium in Pathum Thani province focused on team cohesion and finishing, lasting about an hour.
Team member Theerathon Bunmathan expressed his readiness and confidence in the coach's strategy, emphasizing the importance of a supportive fan turnout. He highlighted the significance of the forthcoming match against Malaysia, Vietnam, or Indonesia, stating any elimination would be considered a failure, given the stature of these ASEAN powerhouses.
